Who Qualifies For Funding

The foundation makes grants to support nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organizations and charities that are committed to finding a cure for Cancer, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's Disease, and also supports Public Broadcasting System, Disaster Relief Causes and Wounded Veterans.

Who We May Fund

At the time of application, nonprofit organizations must have a confirmation letter by the IRS of 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status; projects and programs must provide services that further the Foundation's missions. Preference will be given to organizations located in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area, Chicago, and Florida.

What We Will Not Fund

Private foundations or organizations that distribute money to recipients of their own choosing such as for-profit companies, individuals, organizations that promote discrimination of any kind, lobbying or political activity, and/or organizations that do not have active 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status.

Additional Grant Criteria

Funds will only be distributed to organizations which can demonstrate that they have competent management with a history of delivering results in an effective and cost efficient manner rather than using grants for fund raising organizations current needs, its budget and level of overhead expenses will be taken into consideration. The recipients must have the willingness to report the results. Documentation of the use of funds for their intended purpose be required. The Foundation will fund programs or projects which are designed to meet the specific causes the Foundation is supporting. Funding will usually not be provided for general operating purpose.

Letters of Inquiry

Letters of inquiry are accepted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. For consideration in the annual granting process and must be received no later than Midnight Eastern Time October 9th.

Grant Making

The Foundation began its grant-making activities in 2016. Grants have been awarded in amounts ranging from $5,000 to $25,000.
